Background on the Wine:
One of two 2022 Petit Verdot single varietal releases, this is our “older and wiser” release aged for more than 25 months in one year old old French Oak. This is the first time we have done this with our Petit Verdot and we felt it was tasting so well early in the process we would see what would happen if we put some real time on the barrel.

More details on the process:

The 2022 fruit was humming along nicely at about the 9 month mark and we split half of the batch into a young and old – with Phoebe getting less time in the barrel and more in the bottle. Contrast that with Slumber, which had nearly 26 months in a barrel!

Background on the name:
Slumber, is so-named because the wine was sleeping in the darkest cooler part of the cellar as it awaited its highly anticipated bottling.
