Background on the Wine:
One of two Petit Verdot single varietal releases, this is our “younger” release aged the standard 14 months in 1/2 new and 1/2 old French Oak. This carries the approach of our previously released Petit Verdot.

More details on the process:

The 2022 fruit was humming along nicely at about the 9 month mark and we split half of the batch into a young and old – with Phoebe getting less time in the barrel and more in the bottle. Contrast that with Slumber, which had nearly 26 months in a barrel!

Background on the name:
Phoebe, is so-named because the word ‘phoebe’ is a number that is the sum of four and one. As we unexpectedly (but happily) grew from a family of four to five with the arrival of a baby boy just around bottling, we couldn’t resist.
