You have seen Forager 2020 Meritage on the menu for the past 18 months but its time to unleash the next iteration on the world! Forager is 50% Gila Petit Verdot and 50% Merlot. The Merlot is grown by our friends at Carriage House winery.

More details on the process:

We aged this wine 14 months as we have done with previous releases but we turned up the new oak big time on the Petit Verdot. That created our award winning Gila single varietal. But did you know a good portion went to another wine? Well thats the 2021 Forager!

Background on the name:
Forager is so named because we sought fruit not planted under our label but still in the same AVA and indeed Western Loudoun. In this release of Forager, our second in the Forager series, the Merlot was procured from Carriage House winery just down the road.
